SDL - Sakura Essence

My first character Entry for the SDL. I put the second picture in the background there so you could see where she would normally carry her spear, how her skirt looks and where she has the clan logo on her skirt.

Info: Born and raised under the Essence Clan, Sakura is the first person born directly into the clan. Her mother, Saiyoko Essence, started the clan alongside her husband Jake Slitern. At the age of 12 Sakura became Pregnant and gave birth to her daughter Ai Essence. Sakura claims it was her boyfriend who had gotten her pregnant, yet she had never shown signs of having a boyfriend and the boy she claimed impregnated her left town before he could help care for the child. Raising Ai put a hindrance on her training for a while, but with her mother’s help she was able to continue learning to fight as well as raise her daughter. Once Sakura felt Ai was old enough, she began to train her daughter herself.

Sakura dearly loves her mother, but questions why she has made some of the decisions she has made, for example; marrying Jake. Sakura absolutely loathes her father. She would love nothing more than to see him erased from existence and wishes he would finally die in battle. She would kill her father herself but she knows there are two things preventing her from doing it: not being strong enough to defeat her extremely skilled father and that she doesn’t want to hurt her mother. Even though she hates her father, she never explains why to anyone, only telling others that “He is a bastard that deserves to die.”

Though despite her massive bloodlust for her father, she does not enjoy killing people in battle, she only wishes that those who deserve to die do. She despises just killing for the fun of it because that’s how her father fights, if he wins a fight he kills his opponent. Sakura has trained herself in such a way so that she can usually avoid a fatal injury on her opponent. Though when it comes to the more skilled opponent’s she has a harder time avoiding fatal damage. She likes to use the scenery to her advantage, using strategy over sheer over-powering. However this does not mean she can’t hold up her own in a power match, though she may not be very strong she has trained specifically in how to counter people who are much stronger then she is.

She has a great sense of justice when it comes to criminals; she wishes them to be stopped from harming good, innocent people. She despises anyone who would attack or steal from others just for fun. She’s no vigilante, but if she sees a crime in action she won’t hesitate to step in and put a stop to it. She’s been known to do reckless things without thinking it through, such as running into a burning building to save as many people as she can. Though she does things like that, she refuses to accept rewards for her deeds, saying that the people being safe is reward enough for her. Though even whilst saving others or fighting it’s rare for her to smile. The only times she’s been seen smiling is when she’s with her daughter Ai.
